Clare O'Sheeran Hesterman
Clare has been teaching Pilates and movement education for nearly 15 years. As a student of the American Conservatory Theater Master of Fine Arts Program, she found Pilates to help support her studies in Alexander Technique, movement and physical theater. Later, as a professional actor in New York she discovered the rehabilitative power of Pilates as she worked to come back from a debilitating injury.
Clare is certified in both Mat and all Apparatus Pilates through the internationally recognized Kane School of Core Integration in NYC. She trained directly under Kelly Kane and Matt McCulloch at the Kane School/Kinected Pilates Studio and was soon after asked to join the Kinected staff and became a Kane School Teacher Trainer in 2012. She simultaneously opened the first incarnation of the Push and Pull Pilates studio in her home in Brooklyn, NY
Clare has completed numerous continuing education courses to keep growing and learning in her field. Her training is specialized with information in anatomy, biomechanics, touch therapy, and experience working with a wide range of injuries, including but not limited to: osteoporosis, scoliosis, arthritis, knee/hip replacements, abdominal surgeries, ligament and labral tears, pain disorders and pregnancy/postpartum movement needs.
Clare is a certified Pregnancy and Postpartum Corrective Exercise Specialist thru Dr. Sarah Duvall and The Role Model approach to Myofascial release (Rolling along the Anatomy Trains with Jill Miller and Tom Myers). She is currently pursuing her certification in Pilates for Neurological Conditions through The Neuro Studio.
Clare is a mom of 2 little dudes who keep her on her toes. She is passionate about helping people feel better and move well in their bodies.
